Clinton, Missouri (January 5, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision involving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2015 Peterbilt truck on Missouri Highway 18 west of Southwest 801 resulted in a juvenile driver sustaining injuries, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. The accident occurred around 1:35 p.m. on January 3.
The crash happened as both vehicles met near the centerline of a hillcrest, causing a sideswipe collision. The Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 15-year-old male from Clinton, Missouri, overturned after veering off the north side of the roadway and came to rest on a fence. The Peterbilt 389, driven by a 63-year-old man from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, came to a stop in the westbound lane just beyond Hillcrest.
The juvenile sustained injuries in the crash. He was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Health Clinic by a personal vehicle for treatment. The driver of the Peterbilt was reportedly uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
