Clay County, MO (February 12, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash with reported injuries occurred on Wednesday, February 11, along northbound Interstate 35 at MO-1 in Clay County. The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. and involved three vehicles traveling northbound.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, traffic had stopped when a 2011 Lexus RX350 struck the rear of a 2020 Land Rover Discovery. The impact pushed the Land Rover forward into the back of a 2015 Honda Civic. All three vehicles remained in the northbound lanes at the time of the collision.
The 22-year-old male driver of the Lexus suffered minor injuries. Paramedics evaluated him at the scene and later took him to a local medical facility for treatment. The 45-year-old male driver of the Land Rover sustained moderate injuries and received care at North Kansas City Hospital. The 36-year-old male driver of the Honda did not report injuries.
All drivers wore safety devices at the time of the crash. Authorities arranged towing services for the Lexus and the Land Rover due to extensive damage. The Honda Civic sustained minor damage and left the scene under its own power.
