Clay County, MO (March 4, 2026) – A 29-year-old man suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Monday night, March 2, on Interstate 35 northbound just south of Parvin Road in Clay County.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers reported that a 2017 Ford Mustang traveled northbound when the driver drove off the left side of the roadway. The Mustang then struck the front of a 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan that was stationary.
The crash involved a 27-year-old woman from Gladstone, Missouri, who drove the Mustang. Authorities did not report injuries for her.
A 29-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, occupied the Volkswagen Tiguan. He suffered moderate injuries in the collision. Emergency responders transported him to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained total damage. Crews towed the Mustang from the scene, and a towing company removed the Tiguan.
Investigators continue to review the events that led to the crash.
