Johnson County, KS (February 28, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run injury car accident in Johnson County that occurred Friday afternoon, February 27, on Northbound I-35 at 67th Street.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., an unknown driver operating an Infiniti and Jasim Mohammed Al Inizi, driving a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover, were both traveling northbound in the fourth lane. According to the crash narrative, the Infiniti struck the rear of the Land Rover at mile marker 227.8.
Following the impact, the driver of the Infiniti fled the scene and remains unidentified. Jasim Mohammed Al Inizi sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to the Kansas University Medical Center for treatment.
The Land Rover was later removed from the highway by Santa Fe Towing. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and is asking anyone with information about the Infiniti involved to come forward.
