Kansas City, KS (July 9, 2026) – The Kansas City dog bite incident resulted in at least one person being injured Tuesday evening after a reported pit bull attack outside a laundromat along Central Avenue in Kansas City.
According to emergency dispatch communications, firefighters and medical personnel were dispatched at approximately 8:47 p.m. on July 7 to the 1100 block of Central Ave following reports that a woman had been bitten by a pit bull. Dispatchers advised that the victim was waiting at the laundromat while the individual with the dog was reportedly near a nearby fire station. Units including Pumper 1 and Medic 9 responded to the medical emergency.
Initial reports indicated the dog was no longer in the immediate area where the victim was located. Emergency crews arrived to evaluate the injured woman before providing medical care.
