Troopers reported that a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by a 66-year-old Richmond man was stopped on the shoulder of MO 210 and attempting a U-turn when it was struck by a westbound 2024 Ford Bronco operated by a 55-year-old Warrensburg man.

The impact caused total damage to the Ford F-150 and extensive damage to the Ford Bronco. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Emergency crews responded alongside the Ray County Sheriff’s Department to assist those involved. A 66-year-old Richmond man suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Ray County EMS to North Kansas City for treatment. A 36-year-old male occupant from Richmond sustained minor injuries and was taken to Ray County Memorial Hospital. Authorities reported that both injured occupants were wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash.

Investigators stated that the collision occurred as the Ford F-150 attempted to turn from the shoulder into traffic. The crash remains under investigation.
