Clay County, MO (May 27, 2026) – An Excelsior Springs car accident on Tuesday morning left an 18-year-old driver injured after a three-vehicle crash along US-69 in Clay County. The collision occurred at approximately 9:57 a.m. on May 26 on US-69 southbound at 166th Street.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound collided with a 2026 Toyota Camry for unknown reasons. The impact caused the Camry to cross into the northbound lanes of travel, where it collided with a 2010 Toyota Camry traveling northbound.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Silverado, from Rayville, Missouri, was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. His vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. He suffered injuries and was transported by EMS to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
The 30-year-old female driver of the 2026 Toyota Camry, from Edgware, England, also experienced extensive vehicle damage. Her vehicle was towed by Rite Way Tow. The 35-year-old male driver of the 2010 Toyota Camry, from Excelsior Springs, Missouri, sustained moderate damage to his vehicle, which was driven from the scene. Troopers were assisted by additional state troopers and Clay County deputies during the investigation.
