Marshall, MO (April 29, 2026) – A fatal car accident in Marshall involving two vehicles and a person walking nearby resulted in a loss of life and serious injuries on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 28. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Marshall Police Department arrived at the scene near 1066 S Odell Avenue and Rea Street around 1:15 p.m. to find a complex collision.
A 2014 Ford Focus, driven by a 42-year-old Marshall man, was traveling southbound when it struck the rear of a 2023 Ford driven by a 65-year-old Marshall woman. Following the impact, both vehicles veered off the left side of the road, where the second vehicle struck a 32-year-old female pedestrian.
A first responder from the Saline County Ambulance District pronounced the 65-year-old driver dead at the scene. The pedestrian was flown by LifeFlight to Research Hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the first vehicle was treated for minor injuries at Fitzgibbon Hospital. The incident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol and the MCIU team.
