Independence, MO (January 11, 2026) – Several people were injured on Saturday, January 10, when multiple vehicles collided near Highway 291 and Hidden Valley Road in Independence. The crash happened around 8:26 p.m. and involved at least three vehicles.
Emergency crews arrived within minutes and began helping the injured. Paramedics treated several people, including a juvenile, before taking at least one person to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
The crash caused heavy damage to several vehicles and left debris scattered across the roadway. Police closed parts of Highway 291 while emergency workers cleared the wreckage and guided drivers around the area.
