Pettis Co., MO – Two Injured in Crash at US-50 and Hwy W

Pettis Co., MO (January 25, 2025) – Two women were hurt in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday evening, January 23, at the intersection of US-50 and Highway W in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 7:31 p.m. when a 2013 Jeep Compass, driven by a 70-year-old Warsaw woman, failed to stop at a stop sign. The Compass entered the path of a westbound 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 40-year-old woman from Lincoln. The Cherokee struck the Compass on its right side, causing it to veer off the road, hit a snowbank, and overturn.

Emergency services arrived quickly to assist. The 70-year-old driver of the Compass sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance to Bothwell Hospital. The Lincoln driver sustained minor injuries and reportedly sought medical treatment on her own.

Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

We wish both injured women a swift and full recovery.
