Kansas City, MO – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-35 Injures One

Kansas City, MO (January 15, 2025) – A collision involving two vehicles took place on the southbound lanes of Interstate 35, just south of Armour Road, early on the morning of January 14. According to the crash report, the accident occurred at approximately 5:33 a.m. in Clay County.

Authorities revealed that the driver of a 2008 Toyota Camry was attempting to change lanes when they noticed another vehicle already occupying the middle lane. The Toyota swerved onto the right shoulder before reentering the roadway, at which point it collided with a 2016 Buick Regal that was also traveling southbound.

The Toyota Camry sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Its driver, a 39-year-old Kansas City man, suffered minor injuries in the crash. Emergency responders from North Kansas City Fire and EMS treated the injured driver before transporting him to North Kansas City Hospital for further care. The driver of the Buick Regal, identified as a 51-year-old Kansas City man, was reportedly uninjured and was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene with minor damage.

Police officers and medical personnel worked together to clear the crash site, and traffic resumed shortly after. The accident remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
