Warrensburg, MO – Two Hurt in Crash on N College Ave and E Culton St

Warrensburg, MO (April 14, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision sent both drivers to the hospital late Saturday evening after one car reportedly failed to yield, causing a crash at the intersection of North College Avenue and E Culton Street.

On April 12, a 2014 Ford Fusion and a 2020 Ford collided around 9:45 p.m., according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. The wreck occurred in Johnson County, and both vehicles sustained heavy damage. The Ford Fusion was traveling northbound, while the other vehicle was heading westbound when the crash happened. Authorities say the driver of the Fusion, a 20-year-old man from Defiance, did not yield the right-of-way and struck the second vehicle.

Emergency personnel from the Warrensburg Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The driver of the Fusion suffered minor injuries and was transported by police to Western Missouri Medical Center. The 23-year-old driver of the second vehicle, a Warrensburg resident, was also taken to the same hospital with moderate injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Crews worked quickly to clear the intersection and tow the vehicles. The crash remains under investigation by Troop A and other assisting agencies.

We hope both individuals hurt in this accident make a full and smooth recovery.
