Warrensburg, MO (December 29, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision on US-50 west of NE 651 Road left six people injured, including one with serious injuries. The accident occurred Saturday evening around 6:20 p.m. on December 28 in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place when a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 54-year-old man from Warrensburg, attempted a right turn and was struck by a 2018 Ram 1500 traveling eastbound. The impact caused the Ram 1500 to veer off the roadway and crash into a ditch.
Emergency responders arrived to find six individuals injured. A 26-year-old female passenger from Kansas City sustained serious injuries and was transported by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center. A 29-year-old female passenger from Sedalia suffered minor injuries and was also transported by EMS to the same facility. The Silverado’s 54-year-old driver, from Warrensburg, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center. A 48-year-old male passenger from Knob Noster suffered minor injuries and was transported privately for medical care. The Ram 1500’s driver, a 62-year-old man from Cole Camp, and a 54-year-old female passenger, also from Cole Camp, both suffered minor injuries and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by EMS.
