Wallentine Injury Law 2025 Community Involvement Report

Giving Back to the Community That Supports Us

2025 marked a year of purposeful growth for Wallentine Injury Law. Our team doubled in size, allowing us to serve more injured clients than ever before. This progress would not have been possible without the continued support of the Olathe and Kansas City communities, for which we are sincerely grateful.

With this growth came an expanded capacity to give back through compassion projects and charitable support. Community impact has always been central to our mission, and in 2025, we were able to elevate that commitment through a broader range of initiatives and partnerships.

Throughout the year, we focused on outreach efforts designed to support and recognize those around us—from sponsoring interactive scholarships at local schools to honoring first responders and community leaders. Each initiative was guided by our goal of making a meaningful, positive impact on the individuals, families, and organizations we serve.

Wallentine Injury Law 2025 Community Involvement Report represents our first-ever impact recap. As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to continue building on this momentum and deepening our investment in the communities that support us.

How We’re Making a Difference in Our Community

Over the past year, we focused on four primary areas of impact to diversify our outreach efforts and better aid underserved and needy community groups. These areas include community engagement, investing in higher education, non-profit giving, and supporting first responders. Together, they are designed to provide meaningful community support and appreciation while placing emphasis on vulnerable population groups.

Community Engagement

The team at Wallentine Injury Law considers one another family. We believe that everyone deserves a place of belonging and a sense of community, no matter where they go. This culture extends into our client relationships and has helped shape our community involvement efforts as well. One of the primary ways we made an impact this past year was through intentional community engagement.

This past summer, we served as a series sponsor for Olathe’s Fourth Friday events. Fourth Fridays is a free event offered to residents of Olathe and surrounding Johnson County communities every fourth Friday from May through August. In the town square, food trucks, local vendors, family activities, live music, and more line the streets each evening, providing entertainment for all ages.

During the events, Attorney Jerry Wallentine and other team members mingled with attendees and handed out free InJerry Kits—a reusable, on-the-go holder for Band-Aids. As a series sponsor, Wallentine Injury Law helped make these events possible, providing accessible summer entertainment for the community.

To further engage with the community, the Wallentine Injury Law team hosted its first-ever A Very Jerry Christmas at the beginning of December. We invited the community to mark the beginning of the holiday season with a warm and inviting open house.

Our team organized a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, including photos with Santa, festive crafts, and snacks and refreshments. Guests could take a quick photo with Santa and, while their pictures were being printed, enjoy holiday treats and create a personalized Christmas frame.

The holidays can be a stressful time for many and may even bring reminders of difficult past experiences. Through this event, we hoped to offer local families an opportunity to take a night off, spend time together, and enjoy a relaxed holiday atmosphere away from the usual seasonal busyness.

Investing in Higher Education

As a local college alum here in Johnson County, Attorney Jerry Wallentine has a strong dedication to supporting higher education both within the local area and beyond. He extends this passion to the firm, where we regularly sponsor educational initiatives and athletic events.

Scholarship Contestsyoung man poses with giant scholarship check on football field - Wallentine Injury Law 2025 Community Involvement Report

In 2025, Wallentine Injury Law sponsored two half-time scholarship contests at MidAmerica Nazarene University athletic events. Scholarships were available to participating students, with one officially awarded to a contest winner. These contests were created to recognize and reward local students for the hard work they put in each day, both in the classroom and beyond, while also providing a fun and engaging experience for the broader school community. All scholarship funds were sent directly to the student’s account to ensure they were used toward their current education.

Athletics and Community

In addition, Wallentine Injury Law served as the lunch sponsor for both the Pioneer Golf Classic in October and the Education Influencer Luncheon in April. Proceeds from the Pioneer Golf Classic support the Pioneer Athletics Association at MidAmerica Nazarene University, which funds athletic teams, individual players, and events throughout the year.

The Education Influencer Luncheon brings together educational leaders and community stakeholders to discuss the future of education and identify specific areas for influence and improvement. Both investments directly impact the quality of education and opportunities available to students in our local community. Through consistent support, we hope to strengthen these opportunities and serve as a continued resource to these groups.

Non-Profit Giving

As part of our broader mission to give back to our local community, we place a strong emphasis on supporting vulnerable population groups. In 2025, Wallentine Injury Law contributed to three primary non-profit initiatives: the Coach Yantis 5k Turkey Trot, Adopt-A-Family, and O’Connell Children’s Shelter.

Wallentine Injury Law has proudly sponsored the Coach Yantis 5k Turkey Trot for several years. Each November, participants take part in a 5k run or walk and have the opportunity to support local vendors throughout the event. A tot-trot for children is also offered, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages.

Proceeds from the event support a variety of initiatives, with a particular focus on the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge KC and local families through Salvation Army connections. This event provided a valuable opportunity for our firm to support vulnerable groups while staying connected with the extended community.

Adopt-A-Family

Rather than exchanging gifts among our team this Christmas, we chose to support a local family through a school’s Adopt-A-Family program. This initiative helps provide families facing financial hardship with support during the holiday season. Our staff made financial contributions to shop for the entire family, and once the gifts arrived, our team volunteered to wrap them together in the office. Everyone deserves a joyful holiday season, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to bring cheer to a local family.

O’Connell Children’s Shelter

We are proud to support this organization serving vulnerable youth in Lawrence, Kansas. A tot-trot for children is also offered, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages.

Supporting First Respondersthree firefighters stand in a row for a picture in front of large pizza - Wallentine Injury Law 2025 Community Involvement Report

At the end of 2025, we launched our First Responders Friday initiative to recognize and show appreciation for local first responder groups. As a personal injury law firm, we know that the true heroes in our clients’ accidents are not us, but the individuals who arrive on the scene first.

To honor these teams and express our gratitude for the immediate care they provide, we began providing them with a meal of their choice and highlighting their service on social media. In December, we recognized the Olathe Fire Department Station 5 team and the Olathe Police Department. While it is a small gesture compared to the vital work they do, we hope it offers a sense of pride and support for several work shifts.

Total Community Impact in 2025

Together, the team at Wallentine Injury Law gave back more than ever in 2025. While the exact number of individuals reached is unknown, we contributed significant resources, funds, and energy to community involvement initiatives. We are deeply grateful for each opportunity to provide outreach and are excited to continue and expand these efforts in the New Year.

Our Community Involvement Goals for 2026

Wallentine Injury Law looks forward to expanding its community involvement in 2026, reaching more people in need, and continuing to spread positivity. Our primary goals for the year include:

  • Foster a workplace of volunteerism – Provide our team members with additional opportunities to serve and offer volunteer time off (VTO).
  • Expand our reach into the greater Kansas City metro – While we currently support many Olathe-based groups, we plan to extend our efforts to the KC office and surrounding communities.
  • Build on existing community efforts – In 2025, we supported approximately 10 community groups and initiatives; in 2026, we aim to add 3–5 more.

Looking Ahead: Continuing Wallentine Injury Law’s Community Impact

We are eager to further expand our culture of philanthropy in 2026. Our community continues to support our work, and we are honored to give back in every way we can.

To support these efforts, we hope to grow our community connections and partnerships. If you lead a local non-profit or know of a group or event in need, please contact our team at 913-934-6333 or via email at injury@kc-attorney. We would be delighted to discuss how we might be able to help in the coming year.

2025 was a wonderful year for community involvement, and we know the opportunities for impact in 2026 are limitless. Thank you for allowing our firm the chance to do good in our community.
