Overland Park, KS (January 30, 2026) – An Overland Park car accident on Friday morning sent two people to the hospital following a rear-end crash on Interstate 35 Northbound near mile marker 230.2, just north of the Antioch Road exit. The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. and involved two vehicles traveling in Johnson County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, both vehicles were heading north in lane 1 when a 1999 Chevy Cavalier, driven by 26-year-old Imanol Garcia Rivera of Kansas City, KS, collided with a 2018 Chevy Equinox. The Equinox, driven by 30-year-old Samaji Dandridge, also of Kansas City, sustained heavy rear-end damage, while the Cavalier suffered extensive front-end damage.
Mr. Rivera and his passenger, 21-year-old Yedda Calvillo Villa of Olathe, were both injured and transported to KU Med for care. Ms. Dandridge did not report any injuries. Simple Tow removed both vehicles from the roadway.
