Butler, MO (June 25, 2026) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a Butler car accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. on June 24, 2026, at the intersection of Interstate 49 southbound and Missouri Route 52 westbound near Butler.
Investigators reported that a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 68-year-old Butler man, struck a 2013 Nissan Maxima driven by a 71-year-old man from Urich as the Maxima was turning left. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Both drivers sustained moderate injuries in the collision. Emergency medical personnel transported each man to Bates County Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Authorities reported that both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed from the scene by a towing service. The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the collision with assistance from the Bates County Sheriff’s Office and the Butler Police Department.
