Springfield, MO (February 7, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash occurred early Thursday morning , February 6, on Highway H at Farm Road 167, roughly six miles north of Springfield. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene at approximately 7:25 a.m.
Authorities report that a 2010 Cadillac SRX, driven by a 33-year-old woman from Springfield, veered off the roadway before the driver overcorrected, sending the vehicle back into the northbound lane. This maneuver caused a collision with a 2025 Nissan Altima driven by a 34-year-old man from Nixa. The impact resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
Both drivers sustained serious injuries in the crash. Emergency medical teams responded and transported the injured individuals to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. At this time, investigators are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the accident.
