Pettis, MO – Sports Bike Crash Injures Two on Boonville Rd

Pettis, MO (May 23, 2025) – Two individuals, including a child, were injured in a collision involving a motorcycle and a minivan along Boonville Road on the evening of May 20.

Around 5:30 p.m., emergency services were dispatched to the intersection of southbound Route O and Boonville Road following a crash involving a 2025 Honda CMX1100 sports bike and a 2017 Toyota Sienna. According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was heading south when the driver attempted to make an eastbound turn onto Boonville Road. During the maneuver, it collided with the northbound Toyota Sienna.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old man from Smithton, sustained moderate injuries. He was treated at the scene and later transported by Pettis County Ambulance to the University of Missouri for further medical care. An 8-year-old male passenger riding on the motorcycle also suffered minor injuries. He was taken to the same hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Sienna, a 50-year-old woman, was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and was not listed among those transported for medical attention. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. The motorcycle was removed by private towing, while the minivan was towed by Don’s Truck Towing out of Sedalia.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.
