Overland Park, KS (March 27, 2026) – An Overland Park car accident took place at approximately 7:25 a.m. on March 26 at the intersection of 135th St and Grandview Ave, leaving at least one person injured and prompting a response from local authorities in Johnson County.
Early reports show that a 2026 Nissan Kicks was traveling eastbound on 135th St when the driver attempted to make a left-hand turn across westbound lanes. During this turn, the Nissan entered the path of a westbound 2016 Ford F450, leading to a collision in the intersection. The force of the crash caused both vehicles to come to rest within the roadway.
The driver of the Nissan, 61-year-old Brenda Tantow of Lincoln, Nebraska, sustained injuries in the crash. She was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for additional medical evaluation and treatment. The driver of the Ford, 57-year-old Charles Eichman Martin of Overland Park, Kansas, was evaluated at the scene and reported no apparent injuries.
Emergency crews worked to assist those involved and secure the crash site. The Nissan was later removed by Kidd’s Towing due to damage sustained in the collision. The Overland Park Police Department is handling the investigation.
