Oak Grove, MO (August 14, 2026) – One person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a two-vehicle Oak Grove car accident on Wednesday, August 13.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:38 p.m. on August 12 along Interstate 70 at the 29-mile marker near Oak Grove. Troopers reported that a 2006 Mercedes was traveling westbound when an unidentified vehicle entered the same lane of travel.
Investigators stated that the Mercedes driver, an 18-year-old man from Corder, Missouri, took evasive action to avoid the other vehicle. The Mercedes then struck a concrete barrier. The unidentified second vehicle left the area before authorities arrived and has not been identified.
The Mercedes sustained minor damage and remained at the scene. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, suffered injuries and was transported by Sni Valley EMS to Centerpoint Hospital for additional medical treatment. The hit-and-run crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
