Johnson County, KS (February 20, 2026) – Morning commuters along Interstate 35 experienced delays after an injury crash took place on February 19 at approximately 8:55 a.m. The Lenexa car accident yesterday occurred on I-35 northbound near mile marker 221.6 at College Boulevard.
According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2019 Subaru Outback was traveling northbound in lane five alongside a 2022 Jeep Compass. Traffic ahead began to slow, and the Jeep reduced speed. The Subaru was unable to slow in time and struck the rear of the Jeep.
The driver of the Subaru has been identified as 50-year-old Lyndsay Colleen Noble of Ottawa, Kansas. The Subaru, which is insured through USAA Casualty, was removed from the scene by Dale’s Tow.
The Jeep Compass was driven by 25-year-old Maggi Jo Atkins of Olathe, Kansas. Atkins was also wearing a seatbelt and was reported to have no apparent injuries following the accident.
