Lafayette Co., MO (March 22, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving pickup trucks took place early Thursday morning at the intersection of Highway Z and Concord Church Road. The collision occurred at approximately 5:55 a.m. on March 20. One man sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash happened in Lafayette County when a 2008 Ford F-150, driven by a 21-year-old man from Bates City, was traveling southbound on Hwy Z. According to officials, the Ford attempted to pass another vehicle and struck a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado head-on. The Silverado was driven by a 41-year-old man from Oak Grove. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash and were removed from the scene by tow trucks.

Authorities report that the injured driver of the Ford was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. He was transported by the Sni Valley Fire Department to Centerpoint Medical Center. The driver of the Chevrolet was reportedly wearing his seatbelt and did not sustain reported injuries. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers at the scene. Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
