Kansas City, MO (December 13, 2025) – Several people suffered serious injuries after a wrong-way crash on Friday, December 12, near Ward Parkway and Brush Creek Parkway in Kansas City.
Witnesses said a red car drove the wrong way down Ward Parkway and struck a black vehicle head-on around 8:50 p.m. The impact crushed the front ends of both vehicles and scattered debris across multiple lanes.
Emergency crews arrived within minutes. Paramedics treated the victims before rushing them to nearby hospitals for emergency care.
Authorities closed part of the roadway for several hours while they collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. The Kansas City Police Department continues to investigate what caused the red car to enter the wrong lane.
