Kansas City, MO – Crash on I-35 Near MO-210 Injures Three

Kansas City, MO (December 16, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash involving a hit-and-run driver left three people injured, including a baby, on Monday evening.

The collision occurred just before 5:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35, near the MO-210 exit in Clay County. According to a crash report, an unknown vehicle merged into the right lane from the left, striking a 2022 Dodge Charger. The impact caused the Dodge to veer off the road and hit a guardrail before returning to the roadway and colliding with a 2022 Honda Pilot traveling in the left lane.

The Dodge Charger, driven by a 37-year-old man from Kansas City, MO, sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The Honda Pilot, driven by a 37-year-old woman also from Kansas City, suffered extensive damage and was removed by Arrow Tow.

Three occupants of the Honda Pilot, including a 37-year-old woman, an 18-year-old female passenger, and a 1-year-old male, sustained minor injuries in the crash. All were transported to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene and remains unidentified. Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are working to locate the hit-and-run driver.
