Kansas City, KS – Three Injured After Rear-End Crash on I-435 NB

Kansas City, KS (July 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash left at least three people hospitalized after an accident on Interstate 435 Northbound near mile post 10.2 on the afternoon of July 14.

The collision happened around 4:27 p.m. when traffic began to slow in the area. According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2019 Jeep Renegade driven by 52-year-old Christina Kunzler of Cameron, Missouri, failed to stop in time and rear-ended a 2005 Mazda Tribute driven by 18-year-old Dalton Woodard of Weston, Missouri.

The Jeep Renegade was traveling behind the Mazda Tribute when the slowdown occurred. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, leading to injuries for the occupants inside the Jeep. Christina Kunzler, along with her passengers, 70-year-old Pamela Angst of Saint Joseph, Missouri, and a 16-year-old male, were all transported to Providence Medical Center for further treatment. At this time, police have not indicated any citations or charges but are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
