Kansas City, KS (July 8, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident resulted in injuries following a late-night crash along Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County. The collision occurred on July 6 at approximately 10:47 p.m. along I-70 near milepost 417.6, just east of 57th Street.
According to reports, both vehicles were traveling westbound in lane three when a 2013 Ford F-150, driven by 64-year-old Terry Mynatt of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, rear-ended a 2012 Kia Forte. The Kia was operated by 32-year-old Sabriye Adan of Kansas City, Missouri.
Following the initial impact, the Kia lost control and veered to the left, striking the median barrier wall. The vehicle then crossed back across multiple lanes before coming to rest disabled in lane three and near the exit lane for 57th Street. The Ford F-150 came to a stop behind the Kia.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to assist those involved. Sabriye Adan was transported to Truman Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Terry Mynatt’s injuries were reported but not specified in detail. Both drivers were wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash.
