Kansas City, KS (April 9, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident was reported on April 8, 2026, at approximately 5:39 p.m. along Interstate 635 southbound, about 0.4 miles south of Parallel Parkway near mile post 6 in Wyandotte County.
According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2015 Lincoln Navigator were both traveling southbound when the collision occurred. Investigators state that the Hyundai was in the middle lane and moved into the side of the Lincoln, which was traveling in the left lane. After the initial impact, the Hyundai continued left and struck the barrier wall.
The Hyundai was driven by 51-year-old Lamy Saintanier of Kansas City, Missouri. He was transported to the University of Kansas Health System with suspected minor injuries. The Lincoln was operated by 36-year-old Bryan M. Weatherford of Northmoor, Missouri, who was reported to have no apparent injuries. A passenger in the Lincoln, identified as a 12-year-old boy from Northmoor, Missouri, was also reported to have no apparent injuries.
Both vehicles were removed from the scene as crews worked to clear the roadway. The investigation remains ongoing.
