Kansas City, MO (July 27, 2026) – A fatal Kansas City motorcycle accident claimed one life and left another person critically injured early Sunday morning in the Northland area. The crash occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on July 26 along Northwest 128th Street near Northwest Interurban Road, just a few miles northeast of Kansas City International Airport.
According to the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a serious crash involving two motorcycles. When authorities arrived, they found that a Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide and a Honda CVR had been traveling together northbound on Interurban Road.
Preliminary findings indicate that the Honda rider missed a curve just south of Northwest 128th Street and collided with the Harley-Davidson. The force of the impact caused both motorcycles to leave the roadway. Both adult riders were thrown from their bikes during the crash.
The rider of the Honda CVR was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider of the Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. No names have been released at this time. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
