Kansas City, MO (December 21, 2025) – A Kansas City car accident claimed one life and left two others critically injured near the intersection of Independence Avenue and Jackson Avenue on Saturday, December 20. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the Northeast area of Kansas City.
According to the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department, a silver Chevrolet Malibu carrying two people was traveling west on Independence Avenue when it collided head-on with a silver Ford Taurus, which was headed eastbound near Jackson Avenue.
All three individuals were transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet succumbed to injuries shortly after arrival. The passenger in the Malibu and the driver of the Ford Taurus remain in critical condition. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
