Troopers also confirmed that a 67-year-old woman from Harlan, Iowa, and a 76-year-old woman from Rockwell City, Iowa, died as a result of the collision. The driver of the Ford Explorer, a 72-year-old man from Rockwell City, Iowa, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, for medical treatment.
