Blue Springs, MO (July 3, 2026) – A fatal Blue Springs car accident resulted in the loss of one life Thursday evening following a crash along U.S. 40 at Southwest 19th St.
According to reports from the Blue Springs Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on July 2 at the intersection of Southwest 19th Street and U.S. 40. Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a two-vehicle collision.
Authorities confirmed that one of the vehicles involved had a single occupant, who sustained minor injuries in the crash. In the second vehicle, two individuals were present at the time of the collision. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. A passenger in the same vehicle suffered critical injuries and remained in serious condition Thursday evening.
