Clay County, MO (February 19, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash with reported injuries occurred on Thursday, February 19, on Interstate 35 southbound at mile marker 6 in Clay County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reported the accident happened around 7:55 a.m.
Reports stated that a 2023 Nissan Rogue struck the rear of a 2016 Mazda CX-5. The impact pushed the Mazda into a concrete barrier. The Nissan then hit the rear of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. All three vehicles traveled southbound at the time of the collision.
The crash caused moderate damage to the Chevrolet Silverado. The Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Rogue sustained total damage and required towing from the scene. Emergency crews responded quickly and evaluated the drivers involved.
Officials confirmed that two drivers suffered minor injuries. A 41-year-old woman and a 51-year-old woman both reported injuries. Paramedics transported both to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. All drivers wore safety devices at the time of the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision.
