Carrollton, MO – Two Trucks Collide Head-On Along CR 130

Carrollton, MO (April 1, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash occurred on CR 130 at around 8:09 p.m. on March 30, leaving multiple individuals with injuries and two trucks completely totaled.

Sunday evening’s crash unfolded at the top of a hill along County Road 130, west of County Road 201. A 2008 Dodge Ram, driven by a 21-year-old woman from Chillicothe, collided head-on with a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado heading in the opposite direction. The Silverado was driven by a 26-year-old Carrollton man. The force of the impact left both vehicles disabled and required towing from the scene. Emergency crews from Carroll County responded to assist the injured.

At least three people suffered minor injuries in the accident. The driver of the Dodge Ram was transported by private vehicle for medical care. The Silverado’s driver and a 34-year-old female passenger were both transported by Carroll County Ambulance District to Carroll County Memorial Hospital. None of the occupants were wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash. Authorities from Troop A, including CPL D.K. Fletcher, are handling the investigation.

We hope those injured in this accident make a rapid and complete recovery.

Car Accidents in Missouri

Carrollton, MO – Two Trucks Collide Head-On Along CR 130Car accidents in Missouri occur with troubling frequency, especially on rural roads with limited visibility. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, over 1,000 people lose their lives in crashes on Missouri roads each year, and thousands more are injured. Many of these incidents happen on county roads or rural highways where narrow lanes and blind hills increase the risk of collisions.

Below are some common injuries people experience in head-on accidents like this one and how they can impact daily life:

  • Whiplash and Neck Strains: The sudden impact of a head-on collision often forces a person’s neck to jerk violently, leading to whiplash. Even though it might seem minor at first, this injury can cause lasting discomfort, limited mobility, and a need for physical therapy.
  • Concussions and Head Trauma: When occupants are unrestrained, they are more susceptible to hitting the interior parts of the vehicle. Head injuries may not be immediately visible, but symptoms such as confusion, dizziness, and headaches can linger for weeks.
  • Fractures and Broken Bones: In truck-on-truck collisions, the immense force can easily cause broken bones—especially in the arms, legs, or ribs. These injuries often require surgery or long-term rehabilitation to fully heal.
  • Emotional Trauma and Anxiety: Surviving a violent crash can leave victims emotionally shaken. Anxiety about driving again or flashbacks from the event are common and can interfere with everyday routines and relationships.
  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Even without broken bones, many crash victims experience deep bruising and muscle tears. These types of injuries may go undiagnosed if not properly evaluated soon after the crash.
