Boone Co., MO – Wrong-Way Collision on I-70 Injures Multiple

Boone Co., MO (January 3, 2025) – A wrong-way crash on Interstate 70 left multiple people injured early Wednesday morning. The collision occurred at approximately 3:25 a.m. just east of the 115.8-mile marker in the eastbound lanes of I-70.

Authorities reported that a 2013 Nissan Murano, traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, collided with a 2012 Toyota Camry and a 2019 Acura RDX. The impact caused significant damage to all three vehicles, two of which were completely totaled, while the third sustained extensive damage. All vehicles were towed from the scene by Slate Towing.

Five individuals sustained injuries of varying severity in the crash. A 20-year-old male driver of the Nissan was transported to University Hospital with minor injuries. A 25-year-old male passenger in the same vehicle suffered serious injuries and was also taken to University Hospital. A 28-year-old male occupant of the Nissan sustained moderate injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, a 27-year-old male from San Diego, CA, suffered minor injuries. A 21-year-old female passenger in the Toyota was also injured and transported to the same hospital. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
