St. Mary’s, KS (September 19, 2026) – A fatal St. Mary’s car accident claimed the life of 18-year-old Alyssa Mullins and left 23-year-old Bryce Ashlock seriously injured after two vehicles collided Friday morning.
The September 18 crash was reported at approximately 6:42 a.m. near Hwy 63 and Doyle Creek Rd, just north of St. Mary’s. Deputies with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency crews responded to the scene.
Investigators determined that Mullins, of Onaga, was driving a 2003 silver Honda Civic southbound on Hwy 63. At the same time, Ashlock, of Ogden, was driving a 2011 white Chevrolet Impala northbound. According to authorities, the Chevrolet appeared to cross the centerline for reasons that had not been determined and struck the Honda.
Mullins suffered serious injuries in the collision. A medical helicopter transported her to Stormont Vail Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Ashlock also sustained serious injuries. Emergency personnel transported him to Stormont Vail Hospital for treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
