Clay Co., MO (October 26, 2024) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 52-year-old Thao Trang Luu of Kansas City, Missouri, was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Clay County.
Just after 7:00 p.m. on October 24, a collision involving a 2024 Freightliner and a 2024 Lexus took place on the northbound side of Interstate 435. The impact of the crash caused the Lexus to go off the right side of the roadway near mile marker 53 and collide with a guardrail. The Lexus was severely damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Luu, was injured and transported to North Kansas City Hospital by EMS for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
