Kansas City, KS (June 17, 2026) – A Kansas City car accident on Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County left a Missouri woman with serious injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
According to crash reports from the Kansas Turnpike Authority, the collision occurred on June 16 at approximately 4:55 p.m. along westbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 412.5.
Investigators reported that a 2012 Ford Fusion and a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado were both traveling westbound on I-70 when the Ford rear-ended the Chevrolet.
The driver of the Ford Fusion was identified as Saige Marie Evans, 28, of Kansas City, Missouri. Authorities stated that Evans sustained suspected serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Providence Hospital for medical treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was identified as Sergio Morales-Diaz, 23, of Wichita, Kansas. Officials reported that he was not injured in the crash.
The Ford Fusion sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by All City Tow. The Chevrolet Silverado sustained damage but remained functional following the collision.
