Smithton, MO (June 13, 2026) – A Smithton car accident involving three vehicles left one driver seriously injured Thursday morning in Pettis County. The crash occurred on June 11, 2026, at approximately 7:35 a.m. on US-50 at Arator Rd.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision involved a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by a 29-year-old man from Otterville, Missouri, a 2022 Kia Sorento operated by a 31-year-old woman from Cole Camp, Missouri, and a 2018 Ram 1500 driven by a 37-year-old man from Lawrence, Kansas.
Investigators reported that the Ford F-150 was traveling westbound when it struck the rear of the Kia Sorento. Following the initial impact, the Ford crossed the center line and entered the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with the Ram 1500. The Ford and the Ram both sustained total damage and were towed from the scene, while the Kia sustained moderate damage.
The 37-year-old male driver of the Ram suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported by University Air Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for emergency treatment. The 29-year-old male driver of the Ford was reportedly not wearing a safety device at the time of the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
