The 2020 Toyota Corolla was driven by 32-year-old Farhnaz Ahmadi of Lenexa, Kansas. She was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The Corolla did not require towing.

The third vehicle, a 2013 Honda Pilot with Kansas license plate 220SDA and insured by American Family, was driven by 49-year-old Jeffrey Allan Hendrickson of Overland Park, Kansas. A passenger, 48-year-old Cary-Sue Irene Hendrickson, was also inside the vehicle. Both occupants were wearing safety restraints and reported no apparent injuries.
