Leavenworth, KS (March 24, 2026) – A head-on crash on US-73 Highway injured one driver Monday afternoon, March 23.

According to the crash report, Angela K. Meinert, 55, of Easton, Kansas, was traveling northbound in a 2008 Ford Focus when her vehicle collided with a trailer being towed by a southbound 2024 Dodge Ram, approximately 0.1 miles north of K-192. The Ram was driven by Daniel Timothy Cummins II, 49, of Cummings, Kansas.

Meinert was injured in the crash and transported to St. Johns Hospital for further care. Cummins was reported with no apparent injury. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the crash.
