Bonner Springs, KS (March 11, 2026) – A Monday night Bonner Springs fire in the 500 block of Allcutt Avenue has left two residents in critical condition and injured three rescuers.
Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 7:00 p.m. on March 9 to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence. Upon arrival, Bonner Springs police officers were informed that occupants were still trapped inside. Officers entered the home and removed the residents before the fire department arrived on the scene.
Two residents and a passerby who stopped to assist were transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The residents remain in critical condition, while the citizen is currently listed in stable condition. Additionally, two police officers were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and minor injuries sustained during the rescue.
