Manhattan, KS (December 25, 2025) – A woman lost her life after a fatal pedestrian accident in Manhattan on the night of Tuesday, December 23.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. along Tuttle Creek Boulevard. Authorities say a 68-year-old man was traveling north in a Mitsubishi Mirage when he struck a pedestrian in the driving lane. The pedestrian was walking north near the intersection of Bluemont Street.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene and transported the victim, identified as 45-year-old Thalonda Marie Lashley of Junction City, to a local hospital.
