Kansas City, MO (December 23, 2025) – A deadly Kansas City pedestrian accident claimed the life of a semi-truck driver early Monday morning in the Northland.
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on December 22, officers with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department responded to the area of Pomona Avenue and Northwest 106th Street following a fatal incident involving a pedestrian and an industrial vehicle. According to investigators, the driver of a semi-truck had exited his vehicle and was standing in the roadway when a terminal tractor traveling southbound struck him.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene. The driver of the terminal tractor remained at the location and cooperated with the police. No injuries were reported to that driver. The accident remains under investigation.
