Kansas City, MO (November 17, 2025) – A Kansas City man suffered serious injuries on Sunday, November 16, after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 29 southbound. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the collision happened just before 2 a.m. near 64th Street.
Troopers said a 2015 Toyota Corolla struck the rear of a 2012 Cadillac CTS while both vehicles traveled south on I-29. The impact caused the Cadillac to skid forward and slam into the median barrier. Both vehicles then veered off the right side of the roadway. The force of the crash left the Cadillac heavily damaged.
First responders arrived quickly and treated the 44-year-old Cadillac driver at the scene before transporting him to North Kansas City Hospital with serious injuries. The 29-year-old man driving the Toyota Corolla did not report any injuries and remained at the scene while officers investigated.
Authorities examined the skid marks, vehicle damage, and roadway conditions to determine how the collision occurred. They have not released additional details about contributing factors or any potential charges. The investigation remains active.
