Johnson County, KS – Pedestrian Struck on I-35 Near 95th St Bridge

Johnson County, KS (October 2, 2025) – A pedestrian was injured in a crash on Interstate 35 near the 95th Street Bridge in Johnson County on Monday evening, September 29. 

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. when a 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander, driven by 58-year-old Michael Bradley of Millersville, Maryland, was traveling northbound on I-35.

Bradley’s SUV struck Joaquin Lopez Perez, a 41-year-old. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene and transported Perez to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Both Bradley and a passenger in the SUV were properly restrained and reported no injuries. The KHP has not provided further details regarding the cause of the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
