Liberty, MO (March 9, 2025) – A collision involving two vehicles took place on Interstate 35 Northbound, leaving one man injured. The crash happened at approximately 8:01 p.m. in Clay County.

According to reports, a 2025 International and a 2013 Nissan Sentra were both traveling northbound when the International changed lanes and sideswiped the Sentra. The driver of the Nissan Sentra, a 23-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, sustained minor injuries. He was transported by Kearney Fire to Liberty Hospital for further treatment. The Sentra was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene by Liberty Tow. The 28-year-old male driver of the International, who is from Mexico, was able to drive his vehicle away from the crash site. He did not report any injuries.

Authorities with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, including Corporal B.R. Siercks, Corporal B.E. Thoman, and Trooper M.J. Saladrigas, responded to the accident and conducted an investigation.
