Kansas City, MO (January 8, 2025) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon, January 8. The crash occurred on southbound Interstate 35 just north of Armour Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at approximately 3:10 p.m. Reports indicate that a 2017 Ford Fusion, driven by a 92-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, veered onto the right shoulder and struck a 34-year-old male pedestrian.

The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Emergency responders from the Kansas City Fire Department transported him to Truman Medical Center for further medical care. The driver of the Ford Fusion, who was uninjured, remained at the scene. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven away after the incident. The crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the collision.
